Do you want to live forever!? If you didn’t see Starship Troopers, than ignore the first comment, and shame on you. Go rent it.
It’s about a futuristic human race, whose militaristic society revolves around the unending war against the aliens (bugs) that threaten to eliminate their existence.

Does the comic book do the movie justice? Yes. The story already has a solid foundation to build on, and the artwork is a little dark and shadowy but fits well. There are a lot of characters to follow here. But the standout seems to be a corporal Marts whose team is stranded at an outpost base being invaded by bugs, and a trio of new recruits put on an elite team sent to rescue them. Carmen Ibanez (Denise Richards in the movie) makes a, what I hope is not a one time appearance. No sign of Johnny Rico yet.

The first issue of Starship Troopers looks promising. I can only hope they find a way to work Rico, and Ibanez into it. That would put it on my buy list for sure.
