Every now and then if we get some discussion on a topic it’s going to get anointed as a “cool thread’ which I guess is the same as a ‘hot thread’, but either (the same) way it will get some front page notice.
This week Neth queried us with YA Stigma:
I’m noticing a sad, somewhat disturbing, and growing trend – the disdain and dismissal of anything even hinting at being ‘YA’.
I was too busy winning podraces as a kid, but some of our members offered their thoughts that led to some discussion and then later some discussion on whether or not it was discussion.
