Clare – thank you very much for doing this for us (and what I hear is all kinds more!) and welcome (again) to the fold!

Great article, Clare. I always love reading about how an author thinks and develops characters, setting etc. I had to smile at “Jeaniene Frost has a series ending in mind for Book 7, although they might drag a couple more out of her, because a couple of the more-persuasive side characters in her world are bitching about getting their own books.”

And haven’t we all met characters like that?

    Clare,
As the moderator of said panel, I wanted to thank you for such an in-depth and insightful analysis of what I felt was a wonderful panel.

I feel lucky to have survived it.

    All the best,
    Michael Spradlin

Thanks for the recap. Great summary for those of us who wished we could have been there.

Clare, actually one character that really pushes to get his voice out there is a guy from Jake’s cellblock. The 15 year old girl from “Strike Zone” keeps pushing to come back and tell another story as a middle aged woman.

Ah, the voices in our heads!

So this is where you hang out! A whole new world. I always wondered how a 3-book arc turned into a 9-book arc….
