Battlestar Galactica 2 hour (DVR screwing) season finale was seen by some estimated 2.4 million viewers. For the Sci Fi (SyFy) channel these are great numbers. That is until we see that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was at 3.7 million and Dollhouse at 4.1 million. And we know that both of these shows will be on the renewing cusp at Fox at the end of the season. Does that mean that good science fiction television can really only sustain a hold on cable networks? Or does that mean that networks need to find better ways to make money off these shows that people may watch on their television as well as their computer?

I for one think Neilson ratings really need to go away. I still cry myself to sleep over Firefly being cancelled.
I don’t understand why you post 1st reaction to your own post – why not put it in the post?
Bah because I hate the fact we dont have something that says no comments yet or something because of the coding we have so I like to start it off so people know of the comments. Let the player play…not back on track.
Sounds silly to me.
BTW, regarding the post –
I think Lost proves that good SF can last, thrive, and dominate on a major network.
