I’d rather not send people somewhere else but this is too cool not to pass on.
IDW now has 19 sample pages of the upcoming graphic novel
adaptation of Richard Stark’s The Hunter. Check them out here.
Darwyn Cooke is the man behind this project and now finally getting to see a bit of the final product it looks like he’s done a hell of a job. Stark’s Parker books are widely considered to be some of the best (if not the best) hard-boiled novels ever written. This graphic novel, coupled with the second phase of The University of Chicago Press’s re-releases of the Parker books, makes it a perfect time for newcomers to discover these classic books.
The Hunter, a 144 page original graphic novel based on Richard Stark’s classic crime-fiction anti-hero will be released in July, reserve your copy early with your local retailer!
