I was just reading Ben Peek’s blog, and basically got the gist that in preparation for the Ditmar Awards a lot of the eligibles are offering up their fiction for free to anyone who wants to read them, and that are also eligible to vote on the award.
Now, I’m not sure what the qualifications are, but Peek offers:
I believe you’re eligible if you can read,
This may mean that YOU may be eligible. The Aussie contingent has always been good people, so I just wanted to repeat the links he had on his blog
- You can ask for the anthology 2012 over at Alisa Krasnostein’s journal.
- Jonathan Strahan is offering up Eclipse 2 and The Starry Rift.
- Ellen Datlow has stories from the The Del Rey Book of Science Fiction by Margo Lanagan, Anna Tambour, and Lucy Sussex.
- The aforementioned Lanagan has several stories she’ll make available.
No chumps among these writers, so if short fiction is your deal, this is a good chance to score some free reading and swap email with talented types.
