Dollhouse cancelled? Episode 13 not going to air, only on DVD
It seems the numbers do not make this a huge surprise that Dollhouse may not make a second season. The official word is not out, but Felicia Day on Twitter says the following:
Man, day getting worse and worse. Found out my Dollhouse ep, #13 isn’t gonna air. Only on DVD. Such a great part too. Thx Fox.

Thx all, to clarify seems like they’ll air #12 as the finale and not air my ep #13 at all? So weird
Ask @foxbroadcasting I guess?
I enjoyed watching Dollhouse if this is indeed the end, but as I said in my last review, they seemed to have wrapped up too much too quickly. People are hoping for a movie like they did with Firefly? Dollhouse is not as good as Firefly was. The biggest mistake though Fox made? Not letting Joss Whedon have full control from the start. If you are not airing all the episodes you have, seems like you are trying to tell the viewers to move on.

I haven’t even seen it, I just think Felicia Day is dope and would support it for that.

If I had my choice, I would save Kings and Reaper before I saved Dollhouse, not even a question. I feel like I got enough closure from Dollhouse already and that can not be a good thing for the story line.

Sigh. I’m sure people will get worked up about it, but let’s face it–Dollhouse is just not all that great! Just because it came from Wheedon doesn’t mean it’s golden.

Apparently not canceled, instead it’s just (again apparently) a dumb decision.
Or, damn good net shot across the bow to get fans (if they enjoy the show) to try to get people to watch the show.

See I dont see it, with Tahmoh gone, I think that is the writing on the wall, I mean his character is a staple of the current story that must go on. If Riverworld gets picked up then what? Im calling cancelled.

I also want to say I reported the news with a ? and “the official word is not out” keep that in mind cub reporters.

I can’t bring myself to feel sad. This frees up my man Tahmoh for the Riverworld series.

Wait. So Tahmoh might still be caught in the Dollhouse death spiral?

I too old to be a cub and heaven knows I’ve never reported anything in my life, include my taxable income (JUST kidding, Mr. IRS Agent Troll). I’m just a Tahmoh fanboi, though I am also a Felicia Day fanboi. So maybe I should re-evaluate my position on this. I’m unlikely to buy the DVD set of Dollhouse, but I might put the last disc on my Netflix if Felicia is to be found there.

Haha Bill, I was not referring to you, it just seems on the net there is a discussion about people that reported it as truth that it was gone, done and cancelled already, was just giving that some verbiage
Yeah its tough, for me while I like both of them, I would still let that last episode sit. From what we hear, the last episode is set in the future and is a stand alone episode anyway.

Fox ruins every show they touch. They ruined Prison Break until it became nothing but a ridiculous comedy hour and now look at what they are doing to Dollhouse. They suck!

I agree, i really like the show and fox should just be killed and all there shows moved to a better network.

Ditto about Fox’s rep as a show-killing network. They suck! I avoid them at all costs. They’ve let me down too many times to count. They’ve been low on my list of favorite networks for several years now. It seems that everytime I like one of their new shows it gets cancelled before it catches on. Doesn’t say much for me, I guess….But standing behind a low rated show takes great balls nowadays!
Seinfeld didn’t catch on until the 3rd season. Fox’s TV execs are all cowards, anyway. Charts and graphs tell the tale but the all-mighty dollar still calls the shots.
Sure, the economy is tight and even the best shows are seeing cuts in production costs. Advertising revenue is a bust now that GM, and other auto companies are cutting costs. McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC can’t support all the shows forever.
I loved Dollhouse for the scifi, the action and the intrigue–but mostly for Eliza. She fascinates me to no end. I hope she gets another chance at a series–lead or support, it doesn’t matter. But maybe she should concentrate more on movie roles. Something along the lines of Underworld would be amazing.
