Maybe they just shortened it, the release is correct at Sawyer’s blog. THR describes the television premise as:
chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future.
The book synopsis is as follows:
In pursuit of an elusive nuclear particle, an experiment goes awry, throwing the consciousness of the entire human race ahead by 20 years. As the implications hit home, the pressure to repeat the experiment builds. Everyone wants a glimpse of their future.
