George R.R. Martin has confirmed that the first book in his monumental A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones, begins filming in October!

This is all fine and dandy, but just where is the new book again? Dance of Dragons? I was at a book signing at a Barnes & Noble in Huntington Beach in November 2005 for a Feast For Crows, that’s three and a half years. A Storm of Swords came out in 2000, yes 2000. I’m not a spring chicken any longer. I’d like to see the next book out before I’m gray and dead, thank you.
