Pilot News – CBS – Ace in the Hole

Pamela Adlon is now set to take on a role in the CBS comedy pilot “Ace in the Hole” with Adam Carolla. (THR.com).  The pilot is a family comedy and Carolla is a driving instructor (and father) and Adlon will play the wife, nurse, mother role. 

Adlon has been on the Californication for the past few seasons and while I kind of gave up on that show after season one, she did a good job holding down her role on that show.  My problem is with Carolla though for this show, the guy is seriously funny, but when he gets on television the only thing I see him as is a Man Show second banana.  Hopefully he can jump out of that role with this casting and we will see if it gets picked up.
