Tom Coker is the damn man.

You know what the problem for Wolverine was for me (if there was a problem?). When I saw him, I thought Bigby from Fables.

I’m in the Living Document Noir camp, which might be some kind of oxymoron when you think about it. To noir adherents, I’m a man twisted by paradox. To everyone else, I’m just wishy-washy. Either way, Wolverine Noir is on my must-read list.

    Love Coker.

The biggest surprise for me was realizing that Alex Irvine was one of the writers. I loved his fantasy novels, especially A Scattering of Jades, but didn’t quite realize that he had made the jump to comics.

I didn’t make the Fables connection but that’s probably just because I’m WAY behind on that title so it isn’t fresh on my mind. I’m doing a catch-up/re-read on Y: the last man right now, maybe I’ll jump back into Fables next.

Living document seems to me to be the best way to approach this whole noir thing but I still am surprised at the rigidity that some place on the whole thing. In the past I’ve been met with stunned silence at the suggestion that the movie Blue Collar MAY just be the best noir movie of the last 30 years.
