Update: trailer replaced with HD version, and includes subtitles.
District 9, the latest from Neill Blomkamp, has been getting buzz as a must see SF film, and much of it is due to how awesome his short film Alive in Joburg was (which District 9 is reportedly loosely based on).

Awesome call!
The trailer is promising.
I live in Orlando, FL, USA and saw the trailer for “District 9″ last night after seeing “Wolverine: Origins.”
Afterward, I spent two hours after the movie at home looking at the “District 9″ website. I am absolutely intrigued and riveted.
I also studied Southern African politics and history in college and was involved in the anti-apartheid movement. What a great sense of irony Blomkamp has in writing his story.
Can’t wait to see the film!
Just wanted to note that I updated the trailer to a newer HD version and one that includes subtitles.
