Ah, something new! The first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes movie is out, and beyond having some built-in obvious appeal, it has what’s on-paper a solid trio to start a cast off with in Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams and Jude Law.
Due out November 20, 2009; you may recall that at the beginning of the month I posted some images from the film. I’ve heard of some interesting changes or focuses related to the Holmes character for this movie, but I’m not too worried with Ritchie at the helm. He has a way of pulling of crime (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch are as Official as it gets for being new school O.G. films).
Synopsis:
In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
