Fox crime drama Lie to Me renewed for second season
Fox has picked up “Lie to Me” for a second season with a request for a 13-episode order. The drama stars Tim Roth as head of a company whose job it is to detect lies based on facial expressions and involuntary body language.
“Lie to Me” definitely got better as the season went on and they had a better understanding of what worked and what did not. One of my biggest issues was the fact that they went to famous people’s facial expressions way to much, (Pilot review here), but that seems to have been toned down in later episodes.
Good news for “Lie to Me” fans, just not one of those shows that I was waiting on the edge of my seat to see if it was renewed.

I really liked the “famous people’s expressions” comparison. It was enlightening and a good use of “public domain” analysis.
