Over the weekend we noted Deadline Hollywood’s scoop on who would be playing Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and today Finke has the scoop on the role of his classic villain, the trickster Loki.
Look, I don’t really have a specific beef with Josh Harnett, but the talk of him has been popular on comic boards so I’m semi-relieved even knowing nothing about Tom Hiddleston. I have seen the film noted by Finke, The Gathering Storm, that featured him as the son of Winston Churchhill (played by Albert Finney), but I cant say that upon being reminded of the film that I recall Hiddleston’s specifically.
This is a movie that Marvel fans would never have dreamed to have been made just a few years ago, and now having the big II locked in to a movie they themselves are making is very exciting!
I wonder who will land the leading female role.
