Toy Story 3 character revealed in Pixar Up Teaser

I saw this at MTV and perhaps clarified at /Film. MTV talked to Jonas Rivera, a producer of Pixar’s forthcoming Up, and it was revealed that a future character in Toy Story 3 made an appearance in traditional Pixar easter egg fashion

The MTV interview/query revealed this from Rivera:

“There’s a shot where a little girl is in her room and the house goes by,” the producer said of a seemingly simple reaction scene near the beginning of the film, in which a young girl is surprised by the flying house soaring past her bedroom. “She’s playing with her toys. She’s playing with her little plane. She gets up, and she looks [out the window] – under her bed is one of the new stars of ‘Toy Story 3’.”

Now, over at /Film, they seem to have uncovered the scene in question (and have a still). I can tell you that it occurs at around 1:05 of this teaser trailer (look by the bed):

Very, very cool. Meaning Pixar and MTV and /Film for the digging.

Given Lassiters disdain for sequels I’m still surprised that this is being made.

Without getting into time lines and titles Lassiter held during the Pixar/Disney issue and purchase, I find it hard to believe one wouldn’t be made. It’s money left on the table and an opportunity for Disney to put a stamp on the 3-D Market with built-in fanfare.

I am real excited to hear about Toy Story 3, I actually went on my first date with my wife to the original Toy Story…I think :)
