Amy Adams joins Bale and Wahlberg in Fighter

Fighter, the David O. Russell film starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg now has its female lead in Amy Adams.

With a David Owen Russell film the news for me is if he is able to get out of production without some sort of fight with the cast, as he reportedly seems to historically have issues with actors (or at the least has had a couple of high profile incidents). Regarding the casting of Amy Adams, I find my self loving any Adams at the moment, whether it’s Amy, Rachel McAdams, Neal Adams–it’s all good. I think she’s more than solid and loved her in Junebug, Enchanted. Her role is described as:

Adams will play Charlene, a tough, gritty bartender and former college high-jumper from Massachusetts who ends up dating Mickey.

    
Mickey is the Wahlberg character. I tend to enjoy Russell’s films, I like all 3 of the main casts, and I like boxing (at least when theer was a eal heavyweight division), but I am really going through this ‘another boxing movie’ and ‘another Wahlberg Massachusetts movie’ (the latter I’m not even sure there is a lot of, it just seems like it doesn’t it?).

Kind of fighting for my interest on this one.
