    Another great interview, Brian.
But I do have a quick question for John regarding selling his first novel, the Grove, on Kindle. With the format being so new and the technology being largely unavailable to most readers, why bother using the format at all? Also, have you ever thought of making the book available via PDF download or podcast?

    Hi Keith,

True, the technology is unavailable to most readers, but there are still a half-million or so people who’ve bought the kindle so far, not to mention the readers who’ve downloaded the Kindle app for their iphone or ipod.

I figured most people who were willing to drop $400 for a Kindle (like I was) were also avid readers who probably bought multiple books each month and would be willing to take a chance on a new author, especially if the book they were buying only cost them a buck. I have to say I was right. The Grove has been up for about a week and a half, and the response had been incredible, both in sales and in the support I’ve received from the Kindle community.

Yes, the podcast for The Grove is in the works, and I have the PDF version of the novel ready to go. All I’m waiting on is my new website which will be up and running soon.

Until then, you can find me here:

And if you’re interested in The Grove, it’s over here:

John, this is a great interview. Though I haven’t read the Grove, I’ve heard a lot of people who have read it say that it is really good. Crime Noir is not really my thing but when your book comes out, it will definitely be one that I purchase.

I’d like to get The Grove one day as well, but I don’t have Kindle.

It was just a matter of time before someone picked you up. Great job, buddy.

The Cold Kiss was a terrific story! So did Nata & Sara win? Or does it matter.
