Tomorrow Night Shade Books is having a 50% off sale on all their inventory including forthcoming titles. The sale will start on June 3rd and run until the June 17th. The only hitch is that there is a 4 book minimum!
First let me just say that the vast majority of the Night Shade’s catalog is at least worthwhile, but here are just some interesting opportunities:
I love the Henghis Hapthorn books by Matthew Hughes and you can scoop up Majestrum, The Spiral Labyrinth, and get your preo-order on for Hespira. Just solid sleuth/SF combo, and I think those first two books were overlooked when people were talking award season.
Steven Erikson fans who have waited to pick up his Malazan related novellas have a nice opportunity to pick up The Healthy Dead, Blood Follows, and The Lees of Laughter’s End.
Conrad Williams is a horror writer that actually matters, and you can scoop up his London Revenant:
If you just want a good damn novel, and you like well written work and may not even be a SF/F fan, you need to pick up M. John Harrison’s Course of Heart.
You also want to take a strong look at the Lucius Shepard selections, and if you haven’t read it yet Bold As Love by Gwyneth Jones. If you enjoy the SF/Crime combo you need to pick up Grimwood’s 9Tail Fox, and check out the Detective Chen series by Liz Williams.
