FirstShowing.net was at the Produced by Conference where they got the scoop on some Marvel projects from Marvel’s president of production Kevin Feige. Some of it we already knew from previous reports, but there are some interesting details and I’m going to note highlight them below. I guess you could call some of it spoilers, but only for those who utilize the net specifically to find things to be upset about.
On Iron Man II -
- an admittance to a simple storyline in the first film that they hope to expand on with more of an ensemble cast.
- Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character will (start) as an assistant to Stark.

On Thor -
- Confirmed what we already noted her about the casting of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki.
- There will be no wack language usage that all Marvel fans cringe at now.
- It will take place both on Earth and Asgard.
Feige also notes:
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are signed on for multiple movies or “multiple franchises,”
Which (as stated at Firstshowing) leads one to believe that are plans for Loki beyond the first film.
The First Avenger: Captain America -
This is really the key Avengers character and I’m excited about what he says.
- he notes it will “primarily” be a period piece taking place in WWII and that Bucky (hopefully the kickass Brubaker version and not something that reminds us of Chris O’Donnell Robin) will be included.
