The casting news and possibilities for Disney’s John Carter of Mars just keeps on rolling in. Yesterday we learned that Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins were cast in the Burroughs’ adaptation and today we may have word of another joining them. Below I have an 8-minute video of an interview that Thomas Haden Church participated in conducted at Reel Talk.
At around the 2 1/2 minute mark in the video Church says:
“I am probably going to do a huge Science Fiction drama at Disney called John Carter of Mars in the Spring”
He goes on to call it a “very dramatic role”.
Most people probably saw him most recently in the last Spider-Man film as Sandman, but the Church was incredible opposite Paul Giamatti in 2004′s Sideways.
