BSC-favorite and book friend Jeffrey Ford headlines this year’s Shirley Jackson Award winners. In April we posted the nominees, an Ford’s The Shadow Year took home best novel honors.

The awards were presented on Sunday, July 12th, at the Readercon Conference on Imaginative Literature in Burlington, Massachusetts. The award is given in recognition of the legacy of Shirley Jackson’s writing, and with permission of the author’s estate, the Shirley Jackson Awards have been established for outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic.
