Just got a quality email with this poster in it and it’s all kinds of sweet. First of all, Tommy Lee Edwards is all kinds of pimp as an artist. I could prove it to you by listing beyond the Star Wars, Batman, Hellboy, Wolverine, and even my beloved VALIANT (as he worked on Secret Weapons for a stint) projects he worked on to prove it, but the image after the jump will save me the trouble.

We’ve talked about the Denzel Washington starring The Book of Eli at BSC before, but we learn in the message accompanying the above image that we will see a full trailer of the film at SDCC. Here is the press release:
Film concept artist Tommy Lee Edwards will be appearing at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend, to take part in the promotion of THE BOOK OF ELI.
Warner Bros is hosting a huge panel at the con on Friday, July 24th, at 10:00 am. They will be unveiling a teaser trailer for the new Hughes Brothers film, along with the first chapter of an on-line animated BOOK OF ELI graphic novel. The upcoming on-line stories are written by ELI’s screenwriter Gary Whitta, and alternately illustrated by Eli’s concept artist Tommy Lee Edwards and storyboard artist Chris Weston.
Warner Bros and Alcon Entertainment will be giving away a limited number of exclusive posters that Edwards has illustrated just for the convention. He’ll be signing and discussing the visual concepts behind the film at the Warner Bros booth after the BOOK OF ELI panel.
If there is going to be free Tommy Lee Edwards art online, I’m definitely going to be there! And yes, I said Secret Weapons. That’s how you know I’m a comic fan, not a movie-guy taking a crash course!
