The success of 300 meant we were going to see our fair share of swords and sandals for the few years until somebody makes another Alexander. I’m not too mad about this one though because of the Gemma factor, but today we have to settle for an image of the Jake Gyllenhaal character, Dastan, that EW debuted today.

Prince of Persia stars Jake Gyllenhaal, the aforementioned Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina, and Ben Kingsley and is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It will be in theaters on May 28, 2010.

It’s a real shame that Western fashion no longer requires a leather strap wrapped a few times around one’s bicep.
