New featurette capsulizing the history of G.I. Joe, from Kung-Fu grip, through 3 3/4 glory to the upcoming Rise of Cobra film. if you are a diehard Joe fan there is nothing new here, but if a more passive fan, or a past fan who stepped away with adulthood, it’s a decent cliffnotes of an abridged history.
I think this may have been put out by the studio to remind us that Sigma Six may actually have been more wack than what we’ve seen of Rise of Cobra thus far. I honestly can’t dispute that possibility! When they mentioned ’1985′, I immediately thought ‘Golden Age’–what a great year to be a kid! My review of the first season of G.I. Joe cartoon is coming out soon, as well!
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra stars Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, and Marlon Wayans. It is directed by Steven Somers.
It will be released in theaters on August 7th.
