Before a few of you faint, please be aware that Hilary is not going to be a regular, but it looks like she will be a guest star on the next season of Gossip Girl. She will be playing “a movie star looking for a typical college experience” says CW spokeswoman, Melissa Burton.
Hilary’s character will be named Olivia Burke and she enrolls at New York University and becomes roommates with Gossip Girl character Vanessa, who is played by Jessica Szohr. Hilary’s arc on the show should begin in early October.
I have always been a fan of Duff since her early Lizzie McGuire days, and she has just climbed and climbed in popularity from there. Disney Channel television film Cadet Kelly was a nice early showcase for Duff as well. She also started making a name for herself in singing at the same time, recording tracks for the Lizzie McGuire Soundtrack. Hilary Duff is now a popular singer/actress and I think the Gossip Girl role they have for her is a perfect fit.
