Max Brooks, the bestselling author of The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z will be writing a G.I. Joe miniseries for IDW.
Chris Ryall and IDW have been on a role and G.I. Joe has gone above and beyond in their care (The Costa/Gage Cobra mini is some of the best Joe I’ve ever read). The Brooks mini will be 5 issues, with each focusing on a Joe and Cobra character–with my favorite character Firefly confirmed as being one! Brooks told IGN:

Brooks, with one statement has officially become a BSC-favored creator. Next thing you know he’s going to say he’s doing a Lowlight special and it will get all kinds of uncomfortable here with all the gushery.
If you have a pull list and you aren’t reading G.I. Joe you are not missing out on candy for the nostalgic–this is great fictional military/spy fiction.
