Last year we were told that that Aaron Eckhart would star in Jonathan Liebesman’s SF action film cBattle: Los Angeles. Liebesman was behind The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Killing Room (haven’t seen it but read Slash Film’s thoughts from Sundance). Now, THR announces that a trio has been added to the cast.
The script was rather famously (relative to ‘net famous’) trashed by Latino Review, but when in doubt, add eye candy. Rodriguez seems to continue a role she does rather well–if something is going down, film and television has told me you may want having your back (but don’t expect her to survive). Got to love her for rocking the Science Fiction (also in Cameron’s Avatar) I like Bridget Moynahan as well, and think movies like Lords of War may have been a bit under the radar even with star power. Michael Pena has been in Observe and Report, Shooter, and Babel.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to see Bridget Moynahan starring in this film. She’s so classy and totally underated as an actress. Her performance in The Recruit was outstanding. I’m glad to see her getting back to work and accepting roles after having her baby and that whole ugly Tom Brady debacal. I’m hoping for her sake that her career really takes off. Can’t wait to see this film.
