This week on Warehouse 13 Artie is kidnapped by Claudia Donovan, the hacker who has been attacking the warehouse’s security. She has been looking for Artie to help right a wrong from their shared past. Her brother Joshua, a scientist who went missing during an teleportation experiment twelve years prior, while using a compass that once belonged to Rheticus, a famed mathematician. She tells Artie that her brother is not dead, but he is he is trapped in a phantom zone. Artie agrees to help Claudia free her brother, knowing the experiment is untested and may cause all of them harm.
Meanwhile back at Warehouse 13, Peter and Myka start a search for the missing Artie. Even after Artie is located, they refuse to let him work alone and begin searching for answers regarding Rheticus’s compass and his experiments. Joshua is freed from the phantom zone through the combined efforts of Artie, Claudia, Peter and Myka. As this episode drew to a close, Artie is visited Mrs. Frederick, who had helped Peter and Myka during the episode with her stout encouragement. She is glad to see Artie safe but tells him that Claudia is now a problem for the warehouse and must be dealt with.
This was a great episode and Artie was wonderful to watch as he fought a demon of his past. Peter and Myka also showed us their loyalty as they rushed to help their new boss. Their personalities also appear to be fleshing out quite well, and we keep learning new things about their lives every episode. This week Peter revealed that his sister is hearing impaired, and Myka showed off her extensive history book smarts. I think this episode broke a “plot” mold for the show thus far, and it was a good break from the usual “bag and tag”. I can already foresee that Claudia will be joining the cast and it should make for more fun in the warehouse. I was excited about this week’s episode and was not disappointed.
Warehouse 13 has officially gotten under my skin, and I am okay with it. I can’t wait for next week and the guest appearance from Stargate Atlantis star (Joe Flanigan). See you next week.
