Summer Glau in Whedon’s Dollhouse?
Joss Whedon says maybe (according to /Film) while at SDCC, where he confirmed that former Whedonverse vet Alexis Denisof (Buffy, Angel) would in fact be in multiple episodes in the second season of Dollhouse.
We knew of Whedon’s interest in bringing Glau over in May when he told EW
“If anybody thinks [bringing Summer onto Dollhouse] hasn’t occurred to me already then they have not met me,”
“I mentioned it to her before [SCC] was canceled. I was like, ‘You know, we should get you in the ‘house.’
I really like Glau’s response, and Whedon’s (at least at the time) intended application of the actress/character:
I’d rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who’s good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, ‘I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.’” Got any ideas? Head to the comments section!
I’m one of those people who is still bummed out due to the cancellation of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, so anytime we can get Glau on Television (or film for that matter) is a good thing. Earlier this month we noted that Miracle Laurie would be returning to Dollhouse.
Dollhouse returns to Fox for its second season on Friday, September 25th at 9/8c. It stars Eliza Dushku, Harry J. Lennix, Fran Kranz, Tahmoh Penikett, Enver Gjokaj, Dichen Lachman, and Olivia Williams.

Nooooo, please Summer don’t go into the Dollhouse. It’s only scrap!
