Earlier in the week we posted some Tron Legacy footage from SDCC and now we have an addition to the cast of Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett and John Hurt. Disney has confirmed that Michael Sheen (The Queen, Frost/Nixon, upcoming Alice in Wonderland, and was on the goofy Twilight business card thing ) is in the film.
It had been (and for awhile now) initially been rumored that Sheen would play the antagonist in the film, but I’m not sure if that has been confirmed though JoBlow has this to say:
This, together with Sheen’s earlier assertions that the character “in fact not a person at all,” could mean that Sheen is playing some kind of mysterious computer created villain looking to shut down the Flynn family.
Tron Legacy has an end of 2010 release date attached to it. You can keeps tabs on the project, a sequel to the 1982 film at the official website.
