Who was a fan of original Tron? I had that joint on Beta Max and it’s one of those dozen or so films (for me) that we all have, that we couldn’t tell you nothing about right now, but will gladly tell you it’s one of our favorite movies ever. At SDCC, Disney brought back the teaser they had last year, but now refined in am much more presentable and dare I say a pretty damn awesome trailer.
Jeff Bridges is back as Kevin Flynn, and Garrett Hedlund (Friday Night Lights) will portray Flynn’s (adult) son, Sean. Also featured will be Bruce Boxleitner (Scarecrow and Mrs. King!), Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett and John Hurt.
Synopsis:
Sean Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is the 20-something son of Tron protagonist Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), whose curiosity about his father’s disappearance leads him to the now-abandoned site of Kevin’s old arcade. Inside the old building, Sean is transported into the Computer World and embarks on an adventure in which he learns what has happened to his father, and of the shocking new threat to the Computer World.
TRON Legacy will be out in 2010.

The reason you probably don’t remember the first one, Is that i’m guessing your what in your early to mid 20′s? Hell, I can tell you exactly what happen throughout the movie, even though it’s been a good five years since I’ve seen the movie.
At the time, when the first movie came out it was state of the art, granted it hasn’t held up very good over the years. However, it has always been an enjoyable film to watch.
No, I’m a few years older than that, I just don’t remember many films I watched exclusively when I was 4-5 (at least vividly).
It’s odd though because now that I think about it, the movies I’d group with it as childhood favorites I remember clearly – Inner Space, Neverending Story, Goonies, Red Dawn, The Last Starfighter, Logan’s Run, Flight of Navigator etc, etc.
It may have been because that it didn’t show on reruns as much as the others. Or that we didn’t have it on VHS like we did the others.
Make no mistake, when I saw this trailer today I went to check if there was a Blu Ray of the original!
