I think Ben Affleck is a pimp, and never really got some of the negative backlash he got (and I think he should have been nominated for supporting actor by the Academy for Hollywoodland). Recently he was also was solid in Man About Town, and obviously Gone Baby Gone (which he directed) was damn good. According to THR, his next project, The Town, has now added Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively to a cast that already includes Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Jeremy Renner.
Lively will play the role of Renner’s sister, who is also Affleck’s troubled ex-girlfriend. Lively was in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and is one of many stars in New York, I Love You (which we talked about here), but is probably most famous/notable for her role in the CW’s Gossip Girl as Serena van der Woodsen.
The Town is written and directed by Affleck, and is based off of the novel The Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan.
Can’t wait for this! I love Blake Lively… She’s definitely my fashion role model and I love the way she carries herself.
