Christopher Nolan and Dicaprio – Inception Teaser trailer
Christopher Nolan is just the deal. Coming off one of the most successful films in the history of the planet, Christoper Nolan turns to SF described as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind”. It kind of feel likes he’s becoming one of those filmmakers whose next project is an event, and that he’s always been like that we just didn’t know it until we made already made a tradition of attending. The guy started with Following, a solid film that’s better than a lot of films with 1000 times the budget and followed it up with Memento, which is basically neo-all time great.
This teaser appeared with Inglorious Basterds and debuted online today via Yahoo.
I’m not sure what all that is, but that looks like something I’d experience in an SF novel I want to read. On paper, the cast is a fine one. If it was ‘just’ a film that featured Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, and Michael Caine under Nolan’s direction, I’d already be there, but then you add that it’s headlined by Dicaprio, and also includes Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy, and your playing with my emotions.
Inception hits theaters on July 16, 2010–check out the official site.
