Why would Nigerians be in South Africa?, it sounded more like the script writers wanted to season it up with some hidden racism double meaning i.e.(Nigerian: He who comes from Niger. Niger can be interpreted as a “racist word” Niger is just one letter away from meaning something racist.

Note on the special effects: ZOIC was listed, same company that ran the effects for Battlestar, and hoepfully this will be their break into the big time and therefore into regular appearances on our movie screens.

Nice review–touched on the best parts of the directing without actually giving away much of the plot. :)

I don’t think they picked Nigerians for phonetic reasons. I think they picked them because Nigerians are the new Italians. They can portray a criminal syndicate as being composed entirely of people of that ethnicity and people won’t even bat an eye because the stereotype is so pervasive.

Well, there are in Nigerians in SA(especially in Joburg), in fact there are a lot of people from different backrounds in Joburg.
Joburg is seen as the New York of Africa but the problem is why did they choose Nigerians.
