Yesterday we posted that Caprica had added Patton Oswalt to its cast, and today we get another casting announcement with EW reporting that James Marsters is now on board.
According to the report by Ausiello, Marsters will play Barnabus Greely:
“a dangerous terrorist leader, driven by desires both moralistic and carnal, Barnabus is as lethal as he is unpredictable.”
The role will last at least 3 episodes. Marsters is no stranger to speculative fiction, as his credit include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville and Torchwood.
Caprica is the prequel series to the previous Battlestar Galactica. The (extended) pilot has already appeared on DVD (April), but the show itself will start/continue on Syfy on January 22, 2010. We have previously posted several clips that can be viewed here, here, here, and here.
