I remember feeling that the removal of Jayma Mays felt rather abrupt and I wasn’t sure if I really liked it for that very fact, or that I kind of missed that dynamic, because those scenes with Hiro actually stick our for me as being memorable (which isn’t something that can be said of a lot of the recent stuff we’ve seen). Looks like I’ll get my chance to see, as EW is reporting that Mays will be reprising her role as Charlie in NBC’s Heroes for an episode.
Mays currently stars in Fox’s Glee (see review of first episode). She also had a recurring role in Ugly Betty (again, as a Charlie) and started opposite of Kevin James in Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I loved in her appearance in Pushing Daisies (which was just amazing overall to begin with).
Lots of Heroes news this year going into the next season including a Season 4 trailer. Heroes has announced a bundle of cast additions with Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, Oz, Desperate Housewives), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Madeline Zima (Californication), Rachel Melvin (Days of our Lives), Ray Park (Phantom Menace, G.I. Joe), Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye) and Rick Worthy scheduled to appear in the upcoming season.
Heroes will return for its 4th season in a 2-hour special on Monday, September 21, 2009.
