A site called Dollverse stated they had confirmed that Dollhouse has added Whedon-fan favorite Summer Glau to the cast for next season. This later was confirmed/reported many hours later by THR who got the info out of thin air. BSC posted about the possibility of Glau joining last July, and I guess that it goes without saying that this makes a lot of people happy.

In that previous post we noted the Whedon/Glau response to the possibility:
I’d rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who’s good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, ‘I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.’”
The report indicates that Glau will be back for at least 2-episodes starting in the 5th (which will land in October) as an in-House player named Bennett and reunites her with Whedon.
Glau is the latest season 2 Dollhouse casting addition, joining Miracle Laurie, Michael Hogan, & Alexis Denisof.
Dollhouse returns to Fox for its second season on Friday, September 25th at 9/8c. It stars Eliza Dushku, Harry J. Lennix, Fran Kranz, Tahmoh Penikett, Enver Gjokaj, Dichen Lachman, and Olivia Williams.
