Wonder Twin Power – Allison Scagliotti and David Gallagher head to Smallville
Twitter has been my friend lately. The Wonder Twins are coming to Smallville, and after some not so cryptic twitter from the actress set to play Jayna, it looks like the duo will be portrayed by Allison Scagliotti and David Gallagher.

I kind of dig Scagliotti, but can’t admit to being exposed to either very much (not a 7th Heaven watcher).
If casting sides that Spoiler TV put up last week are accurate, the twins should appear in the 5th episode of the upcoming season, titled Idol. You may have seen Scagliotti brighten up Syfy’s Warehouse 13 recently as Claudia Donovan, and Gallagher in 7th Heaven. The Wonder Twins have this kind of semi-iconic status for a particular age group (which includes me) due to the Super Friends cartoon, though admittedly these were old even when I was a kid.
Recently we’ve brought news that Monique Ganderton would be appearing in the next season and posted CW’s Up to Speed feature for the show.
Smallville returns for its 9th season on Friday, September 25, 2009.

UPDATE: Apparently Ms. Scagliotti has pulled the statement(s) (there was more than one) from twitter (or a rather unique technical glitch occurred)

I personally have been watching Smallville sinced it aired. They have introduced many heros and villians alike from the comics. I think it is time for them to introduce Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince to the show regardless if they are planning on coming up with the their movies. Even bringing up uncharted land on a plane or visiting Gotham into the show would be nice. Visting the planet Krypton and their way of life would be clever. This show still has potential to introduce many storylines to the show.

Bruce was never in Smallville. Remember waaaaaayyyyyyy back in season 1 or 2, some rich kid in a wheel chair? That was GOING to be Bruce Wayne, but when Kane’s family found out (THEY hold the rights, not DC), they told them to change it.
Remember “Birds of Prey”? That was to be for Batman what Smallville was to Superman, but Kane’s family disapproved, so it became Wayne’s daughter.
Blame the Kane family.
