July and August respectively brought us our first trailer and first poster for Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut Whip It. Now Fox has put out a short featurette that includes the director about the film.
The screenplay is by Shauna Cross, who wrote Derby Girl, the novel which the film is based on. Barrymore is also in the film that stars Ellen Page and includes Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Marcia Gay Harden and Jimmy Fallon.
Whip It’s wide release is on October 9th, 2009, but will also be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival this month.
