Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks are now joined by Olivia Wilde & Jonathan Tucker in the next Paul Haggis film, The Next Three Days. According to THR, the films deals with a woman imprisoned for a murder she claims she didn’t commit and her husband who tries to vindicate her.
Wilde is a young mother who befriends Crowe and Tucker will play “a street tough running a meth lab”. We’ve seen Wilde on television in the O.C. and The Black Donnellys. You probably also noticed her in films like Alpha Dog and more recently in Year One. She’s also set to be in Tron Legacy.
Tucker was also in The Black Donnellys, but I’m thinking maybe most people know him from The Ruins. He’s also been in some quality films though like Sleepers (one of my favorites!) In the Valley of Elah, and Criminal.
Haggis wrote/revised Casino Royale, and wrote the sequel Quantum of Solace. He directed Crash which won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Screenplay (he co-wrote). He also wrote Million Dollar Baby which was nominated by the Academy for Best Adapted Screenplay and won Best Picture.
