That’s the official title of the fourth installment of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise as noted at D23 Expo.
As a reader it’s hard for me to ignore that title, so let me take his moment to get off of subject – but for the best of reasons -and recommend the glorious novel by Tim Powers – just one in the author’s amazing body of work.
Back on subject: I saw this logo over at CinemaBlend. As the logo indicates, we can expect more Pirates in less than 2 years. Reportedly, Depp himself, dressed as captain Sparrow, made the announcement himself.
Tim Powers was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. A shame it is only a coincidence.
Or not. Adam Whitehead over at the Wertzone said that “the fourth film will be a loose adaptation of Tim Powers’ novel into the existing movie universe.”
I’m diffently a huge Depp Fan and of the Pirates Films and I Think Johnny is very hot and sexxy as Capt Jack and wish He was my Pirate boyfriend…sadly though Johnny is Married and Capt Jack is Undead almost the same thing being married and undead…I’m sure the New Movie Stranger Tides will be a Great Movie Sincerely a Johnny Depp Fan Alma I Kelly. am I correct in assuming Will and Elizabeth won’t be returning for the 4th installment of Pirates of Carribean? that’s what I would of thought it would be about..

Don’t take this as official or anything, but I thought I read somewhere that Knightley stated she was pretty much done with the franchise, in terms of having to move on (though she spoke highly of the whole experience). Obviously, things can change.
Yaaaay, I cannot wait, Johnny Depp’s Pirates ‘movies are my faves of Depp’s. His acting is unsurpassed in his role as Jack Sparrow!!!! Summer of 2011 is a very long wait. I am happy about his co-stars as well. This is very exciting news.

well I guess there is some hope, far better films than this would be out by then such as: rainbow six and possibility halo (it beats children films)
if Walt Disney is smart, they wont use the same “fricking” clichés for the fourth time!
I think they should have elizabeth and will characters in it I don’t like how they ended it with them i think they should atleast have that she has wills child an he comes back to see them when his son is 10…. they could even have one of the other pirates die and when will goes to do his duty and take spirits to the other side the person can tell him he has a son or what not..
