Last month we reported that Joe Hamm (Mad Men) and the BSC-approved Carla Gugino were added to Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch, joining a rather beautiful cast that includes Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone. Variety is reporting that Snyder has now added Scott Glenn to the film.
I’m completely on the Snyder bandwagon! Glenn has been in a ton of movies, including playing big roles in quality films. He was my boy from The Hunt for Red October (which Damon has not seen), The Bourne Ultimatum, Absolute Power, The Silence of the Lambs, Backdraft–and don’t forget Roger from Training Day.
The report indicates that Glenn will portray “a mentor and guide to Baby Doll and the other girls in the asylum“.
Sucker Punch has a March 15th, 2011 release date attached to it.
