Modern Family has more guest appearances announced to go along with earlier news that Shelley Long, Benjamin Bratt and Edward Norton would appear on the show. TV Guide is reporting that Elizabeth Banks and Chazz Palminteri will also be showing up on the Ed O’Neill starring ABC sitcom. The reason why I’m scratching my head is that I’m pretty sure that they announced Bank’s participation last August.
Palminteri has been in a ton of films and was prominent in one of my favorite films ever (The Usual Suspect). Banks has also been busy on the big screen in films like Role Models, W., Definitely, Maybe, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and the Spidey Films (as Betty Bryant). TV heads will remember her from Scrubs. They will both appear later this season, though not in the same episode. Palminteri’s role will be that of O’Neill’s friend, and Banks will be as the party pal from the past, pre-child. In our previous report, she was described as:
Bank’s role as “the fag hag” friend of gay couple Mitchell and Camero. it is a possibly recurring role and the initial appearance by Banks will likely be in October.
