I can’t remember where, but I saw this casting announcement awhile ago, and Fox didn’t want to confirm it then. Apparently THR has been able to get confirmation (though it begs the question of why are we bringing up old stuff?”, that the previously reported new ‘villain’ of Fox’s Fringe will be played by Sebastian Roche.
The news might have been held back due to report indicating that the status of Thomas Kretschmann, who played the role previously, had a scheduling conflict. The role is described by Nellie Andreeva (THR) as:
…a soldier from another dimension who is not quite human/not quite machine, trying to gather information for opening a stable door to the other side.
Roche has appeared in several shows including Alias, CSI, The Unit, Charmed, The Mentalist, and replaced Julian Stone as Jerry Jacks in General Hospital. Fringe airs Thursdays on Fox–recently we posted promo images to the “Earthling”, the November 5th episode.
