Sources tell TMZ that Macy’s invited the Glee cast to participate in the parade this year, but that NBC suits jumped in and told Macy’s to check itself.
I have to file this under rumor at this point, but it is a sad state of affairs if this is the case. Yeah Glee is shown over on Fox and the parade is shown on NBC, but I just do not see the downside for NBC. What purpose does it really serve to not allow them to participate? It is not like there is a Glee marathon running at the same time as the parade? One would think that NBC would want as many stars as possible to boost the ratings of the parade. Maybe something can be worked out as TMZ put in calls to everyone and did not hear anything back.
