Veteran actor Joel Grey will be appearing on a November episode of Grey’s Anatomy, according to TV Guide. The report also indicates that this episode will be the only “sweeps” appearance by BSC-favorite Katherine Heigl, due to other scheduling commitments.
Grey will play the role of Izzie’s (Heigl) former high school teacher, who show creator Shonda Rhimes says convinced Izzie:
“she was more than a girl from the trailer park.
Following it up with:
“And now he’s in need of her help. “
Grey has won or been nominated just about every honor an actor can garner.
Earlier in the month we reported that Kim Raver would be joining the cast as well. Grey’s Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Sara Ramirez, Eric Dane, Chyler Leigh, Kevin McKidd and Jessica Capshaw.
