After rocking Elmo’s Christmas Countdownit is only the natural progression of things to get your own primetime special. Jennifer Hudson, former American Idolfinalist will be coming home for the holidays with a primetime music special which will air on ABC.
Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmaswill have the singer (and now actress) reliving some of her favorite childhood memories of the holidays with musical performances. The locations will be specific to her hometown of Chicago and will include the Oscar winner’s church, music academy and a few others.
I think these new specials are great, because while I love the regular things that come on at Christmas the advent of the video tape and DVD (now Blu-Ray) have made them a little less special if you know what I mean.
The special will be produced by Tall Pony Prods. and have Tony Eaton serving as executive producer and David Mallet as directory.

Jennifer Hudson is such an amazing young multi-talented super star. I don’t know how people can still be counting her out. This young lady is the true. Jennifer Hudson is for real about her career and all. I have never seen a person are artist success more. She have really worked her way up to an established artist. I love me some Jhud. I can not wait for her Christmas Special to air tomorrow. Jen is truely a class act.
