With agents everywhere around the world (or the internet) BSC has found out that Stellan Skarsgard has claimed that he has as role in Thor. It’s an interesting move as his son (Alexander Skarsgard) was reportedly one of the finalists for the role of Thor that eventually went to Chris Hemsworth. Skargard joins the recently announced additions of Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore to the cast.
The Geek Files did a bit of translating (which I cannot verify the quality of–Imperial translator is down) and this much was said:
“They wanted me to sign without reading the script. That I refused to do. Then they sent one to me that was so coded that I could only print one copy.”
All BSC efforts to intercept this meme have met with failure. The Swedish actor was Robin William’s buddy with the medal in Good Will Hunting, in the underrated Ronin, Bloom’s pop in Pirates of the Caribbean, among several other roles. I’m thinking an Asgardian, and it would be an interesting irony if he were cast as Odin, when his son was passed over who would have been Odin’s son.

I hope this movie bombs for not casting Alexander Skarsgard!
