First it was announced that Ugly Betty will be moving to a Friday night time slot, which is never good news, and now they have decided to push back the fourth season premiere date a week. ABC has been using the Friday night block to air same week reruns of the new shows that is has, presumably to get some additional data, or maybe just to please those without DVRs.
Ugly Betty will come back with a two-hour premiere on Oct 16th instead of Oct 9th and will then move to its regular 9 pm time on Friday after the premiere.
You know, I gave up on Ugly Betty for a while, but then I got sucked back in during the repeats this season and felt like the show had gotten a bit better from the end of Season 2. Since it is on Friday when there is really not much else on I may actually start up with Season 4 when it returns. The problem with this show has always been getting just a bit too crazy to be enjoyable, and that is a line it has to walk on the correct side of to keep this viewer.
